Considering Custom Orthotics?
We recognize the significant impact foot pain can have on your daily life. It shouldn’t hinder your ability to perform even the simplest tasks. Foot discomfort can disrupt basic activities like walking, causing unnecessary discomfort.
Custom orthotics are designed to position your foot and ankle optimally, reducing pressure on your joints.
At Physio Pros, we’re dedicated to providing you with the perfect custom orthotic solution. Our process begins with a comprehensive biomechanical examination and gait analysis, followed by the creation of a precise 1-to-1 mold of your foot.
Using this mold, our manufacturing team will craft tailor-made, lab-produced insoles to alleviate your pain and discomfort effectively.
Conditions Helped by Custom Orthotics
Foot Pain: Orthotics can alleviate discomfort caused by conditions such as plantar fasciitis, flat feet, high arches, heel spurs, and bunions.
Knee Pain: By correcting foot alignment and reducing excessive pronation or supination, orthotics can alleviate strain on the knees, helping conditions like patellofemoral pain syndrome and IT band syndrome.
Lower Back Pain: Improper foot alignment can contribute to lower back pain. Orthotics can help realign the body, reducing stress on the lower back and alleviating pain.
Overuse Injuries: Athletes and active individuals often experience overuse injuries due to repetitive motions. Orthotics can provide support and cushioning, reducing the risk of injuries like stress fractures and tendonitis.
Shin Splints: Orthotics can help distribute pressure more evenly throughout the foot, reducing strain on the shins and alleviating pain associated with shin splints.
Arthritis: Orthotics can provide cushioning and support for joints affected by arthritis, reducing pain and improving mobility.
Diabetic Foot Care: Custom orthotics can help prevent foot ulcers and other complications in individuals with diabetes by providing support and reducing pressure points.
Postural Issues: Orthotics can help correct biomechanical imbalances in the feet, which can improve overall posture and reduce strain on the body.
Sports Performance: Orthotics can enhance athletic performance by providing support, stability, and shock absorption, reducing fatigue and improving efficiency of movement.
Alignment Issues: Orthotics can help correct issues such as overpronation or supination, improving overall foot and ankle alignment and reducing the risk of injuries.
Getting Started with Orthotics at Physio Pros
To begin, schedule an orthotics exam with our team. During this thorough assessment, your Doctor will review your medical history and conduct a comprehensive physical examination to determine if orthotics are necessary.
Upon the Doctor’s recommendation, we’ll proceed with a gait analysis to assess your walking pattern and a biomechanical evaluation to examine your foot movement.
Following these assessments, we’ll create precise molds of your feet and, based on our recommendations, send them to our trusted orthotic labs. It typically takes 1-2 weeks to receive your custom orthotics after the assessment.
If there are any conditions that may not benefit from orthotics, we’ll refer you to our in-house physiotherapists, chiropractors, or massage therapists for further evaluation and treatment.
