What is Vertigo/Dizziness?

Dizziness and vertigo affect 45% of individuals as some point in their lives. A variety of different factors can cause vertigo or dizziness. However some of the most common are: BPPV, vestibular neuritis or blood pressure changes.

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is one of the most common causes of vertigo and dizziness, resulting in a sudden sensation that you’re spinning or that the inside of your head is spinning. The causes of BPPV can be trauma to the head, prolonged stress, sudden rapid head movements. 60% of cases arise from unknown causes.
